The President’s Residence

Stay near the White House in our Dupont Circle hotel

While visiting our boutique hotel, you can count the first family among your neighbors; the nearby White House has been the residence of every president since John Adams in 1800. Our guests enjoy strolling 15 minutes to this famous Pennsylvania Avenue address — or borrowing one of our PUBLIC bikes to cruise there on two wheels. The modern-day White House complex includes the Executive Residence, West Wing, East Wing, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building — which houses offices for the President's staff and the Vice President — and Blair House, a guest residence. Lafayette Square, the park in front of the grand home, proves a perfect spot to people watch, picnic, and snap social media-ready photos. (If you’re interested in taking a self-guided, public tour at this famous landmark, submit a request through a member of Congress; requests can be submitted up to six months in advance and no less than 21 days in advance.)
